Your Mouse Or Trackpad Is In all probability Soiled — This is How To Clear It

Your Mouse Or Trackpad Is Probably Dirty — Here's How To Clean It

Long story short, it's important to clean everything – and that means everything – in your office at least once a week.

And as you might have imagined, cleaning electronics look a little different than cleaning normal hard surfaces. Fortunately, cleaning your mouse or trackpad is pretty easy. Before doing anything, unplug your mouse or computer.

If you just want to quickly wipe it off, use a slightly damp cloth (don't spray water directly on the surface as it can damage it). If you're looking for a sanitizing measure, green cleaning expert Becky Rapinchuk recommends pouring a little alcohol on a soft cloth, wiping your computer mouse or trackpad, and then letting it dry.

You can use the same method with your natural cleaner of choice. For those hard-to-reach spots on the mouse, you can try dipping a cotton swab in the cleaner or rubbing alcohol to get into those crevices. As simple as that!

Remember to do this on a weekly basis – maybe on Fridays when your work week is over.
