Anxiety Affects You Every Day. Find Out How!


It's a defense mechanism that everyone has. It is universal and adaptable as it improves performance and the ability to anticipate hazards in our environment.

Fear is a vigilant response to situations that pose a threat to us.

Anxiety is an adaptive, bonus, functional and standard mechanism and is not a health problem. The problem arises when this adaptive mechanism is activated in situations that do not pose a real threat, cause a serious health problem and do not help but hinder us.

Everyday situations like traffic tricks can be a great source of stress for many people as they are a repetitive and continuous stimulus that can end with anxiety and depression problems.

People get nervous for three main reasons:

  • They don't want to be late for work or class and see the clock ticking, but they didn't go 100 meters; it changes them more and more.
  • Due to the frustration of thinking that a trip that would take 20 minutes under normal conditions would be more than an hour each morning.
  • The feeling of wasting hours on the street instead of doing other things creates frustration and anxiety.

What can be done

Attitude Change and Negative Thoughts: Instead of thinking of time in the car as a waste of time, imagine that this time is inevitable and take the opportunity to hear the news and talk to those who are on the phone.

We don't have time for everyday life, we listen to music, we mentally prepare the meeting we have at work, etc. It's about putting the event itself into perspective and seeing it less harmful.
