Grilled Halibut Steaks

This grilled halibut steak recipe is very easy to prepare and just as easy to cook. The largest flatfish in the ocean, halibut is a delicious white-fleshed fish with a firm, meaty texture. As with all fish, do not cook too long as the meat will be tough and will not have the wonderful flaky texture.

Grilled halibut steaks ingredients

  • 3 tbsp chicken broth
  • Juice of ½ lemon
  • Lemon wedges
  • 1 tablespoon of fresh rosemary, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Cut 560 g halibut into fillets
  • 400 g asparagus tips

Grilled halibut steaks directions

  1. In a bowl, mix the chicken stock with the lemon juice and rosemary.
  2. Add the halibut steaks, cover with cling film and leave to marinate in the refrigerator for an hour.
  3. After marinating, season the steaks with salt and freshly ground black pepper. Grill the fish over medium heat skin down for 5 minutes on each side.
  4. In the meantime, steam the asparagus tips for 6-8 minutes.

Serving suggestion

Serve the fish steak on a bed of asparagus with the fresh lemon wedges.
