If You Suppose You Are Too Small To Make A Distinction, Attempt Sleeping With A Mosquito.

Try Sleeping With A Mosquito

Hello everybody! This is my last post of 2020 and I want to thank you for staying with me during this difficult and challenging year.

1. Meat alternatives

More and more customers are looking for meat alternatives. They are not vegetarian or vegan per se, but people who want to reduce their meat consumption.

We recognized the growing demand for meat-free recipes by offering more vegetarian and vegan recipes. Also, we now have menu plans for both options.

2. Go digital

I am producing less and less paper-based materials. Once upon a time everything was printed on paper or on CD.

This year we celebrated our 10,000th download of our mobile app. Remember it is only 2 years old.

A customer story has been printed in the past few years. Now we have the most amazing technology in place and we are recording podcasts – occasional conversations that really capture the essence of a client's journey. Far more powerful than any printed story.

3. Resilience

Nothing could have prepared us for 2020 and the arrival of Covid-19 and everything that it entailed. We didn't close our doors. We stayed open and most of our customers didn't miss a beat.

Additionally, we welcomed new customers and it really showed what part of our character we call resilience.

And both our employees and our customers have shown it in buckets.

4. Pride

I am full of pride.

Many thanks to my colleagues who didn't miss a beat and kept the course.

Thanks to our existing and new customers who rose to the weight maintenance challenge during a pandemic that turned routines upside down and restricted or stopped most daily activities.

The ethos of Motivation Weight Management is who I am and what I do – we are here to help clients lose / maintain weight and live happier, more fulfilling lives.

When I speak to colleagues who are moved by their customers' success stories, I am full of pride.

When I listen to customers list all the things they can do now as a result of our work together, I feel proud.

"If you think you are too small to make a difference, try sleeping with a mosquito," Dali Lama quotes.

There is so much uncertainty about what it means to clear in your head what your own routine is going to be – one that will happily lead you to the other side of the Christas hiatus and into the new year.

You are not too small.

You can make a difference.
