When the weather warms up and the evenings get longer, the grill is the perfect option for a dinner. There are plenty of healthy alternatives to the usual sausage and beef burgers, and this delicious BBQ Marinated Chicken Kebab recipe is one of them.

It will take some time to marinate, but it can also be done at lunchtime so you can go to dinner.

It uses 3 servings of protein and ¼ of milk and ½ of restricted vegetables, so you get 4 proteins and 2 carbohydrates over the other meals.

Or you can consume one of your carbohydrates and serve it with a small baked potato on the grill and a free salad.

Marinated BBQ Chicken Kebabs Ingredients

  • 1 (200 g) tub of 0% Greek yogurt
  • 120 g of low-fat feta cheese
  • 1/2 teaspoon lemon peel
  • 2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice
  • 2 teaspoons of dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon of ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed dried rosemary
  • 400 g skinless and boneless chicken breast fillets – cut into 2.5 cm pieces
  • 1 large red onion, cut into wedges
  • 1 large green pepper, cut into 3 cm pieces

Marinated BBQ Chicken Kebabs Directions

  1. Mix the yoghurt, feta, lemon zest, lemon juice, oregano, salt, pepper and rosemary in a large flat baking dish. Place the chicken in the bowl and turn to enamel. Cover and marinate in the refrigerator for 3 hours.
  2. Preheat an outdoor grill to high heat.
  3. Thread the chicken, onion wedges, and green pepper pieces alternately on skewers.
  4. Grill skewers on the prepared grill until the chicken is no longer pink and the juices are clear.
