Paddy McGuinness appears as one of the co-hosts on BBC’s Top Gear on TV today. The comedian recently spoke about his weight loss and why he decided to shed the pounds. How did he keep his slim body?

Paddy has appeared on television often to put on a number of shows and knows the pressures of looking good on camera.

However, feeling good is more important to him.

In 2019, the presenter posted before-and-after photos of his weight loss, revealing that he fell from 14 stones to 12.5 stones in just four months.

This was due to a change in his diet and fitness regime.

Paddy went to the gym to get “leaner” and started to see what he was eating.

In an Instagram post he said: “I forgot to post the last year! This is a before and after picture of the four months of good nutrition and exercise I’ve been doing.

“I really enjoyed it and could definitely have gotten leaner, but I felt a little too thin. I started at 92.7 kg and finished at 78.7 kg.

“I lost about 26 percent body fat to 12 percent and went from a 36-inch waist to 32 inches.”

Paddy added, “I’m somewhere between these two pictures now in terms of shape, probably more like the first after Chrimmy!

“I still like to exercise, but I don’t feel like losing that much fat again.

“I now weigh 88.2 kg with a 33-inch waist, I feel strong and good at it.”

Paddy maintained his goal weight by continuing to eat healthily and exercising regularly.

Paddy celebrated his weight loss a few hours later by eating a Marks and Spencer cake with custard and showing that while losing weight, it’s okay to indulge yourself every now and then.

The TV personality continues to train and posts her fitness efforts on Instagram, sometimes with his wife Christine Martin.

Christine, 33, is a model from Blackpool.

The couple married in 2011 and have three children.
