One piece of advice that doesn't sound like intuitive is not to focus on the scales.
"Surely I should weigh myself to check my weight gain," I hear you ask.
The opposite is true as your focus should be on your habits, behaviors, and attitudes.
This is vital as many expectant mothers assume that they are eating in pairs. So it is literally an open season and there is no limit to the amount or frequency of food consumed.
The fact is that if you gain too much weight during pregnancy, it can be harmful to both the mother and the baby.
By not focusing on the scales, we are taking away the emphasis on weight. You will still be weighed during your examinations.
