Pregnant and Overweight How To Lose Weight

Being pregnant and being overweight is not a good combination, but with our help we can show you how to lose excess weight in a safe and comfortable way.

If you are very overweight or obese during pregnancy, it is advisable to follow a weight loss program during pregnancy. The standard advice from general practitioners and obstetricians is to put you in touch with a nutritionist who will prescribe you a healthy and balanced diet. This is perfectly good advice, but it lacks one important aspect – what caused your overeating in the first place?

this is that WHY. In our experience, without addressing or answering this critical question, most nutritional plans are undermined and therefore have a high failure rate.

One piece of advice that doesn't sound like intuitive is not to focus on the scales.

"Surely I should weigh myself to check my weight gain," I hear you ask.

The opposite is true as your focus should be on your habits, behaviors, and attitudes.

This is vital as many expectant mothers assume that they are eating in pairs. So it is literally an open season and there is no limit to the amount or frequency of food consumed.

The fact is that if you gain too much weight during pregnancy, it can be harmful to both the mother and the baby.

By not focusing on the scales, we are taking away the emphasis on weight. You will still be weighed during your examinations.
